RULE OF THIRDS


The Rule of Thirds is one of the fundamental principles of composition.

Using focal points in a composition that are a third of the way in from the sides makes a design or image much more attractive and interesting. (Look also at the Golden Section grids pages on this site to see if you can se the direct link to this phenomena!)
